Shorelink Writers is a large writing group based in Hastings . Our membership happily encompasses all levels of aspiration and experience from published novelists to those just starting to write, and from academics to learning disabled. Our aim is to support and, hopefully, to inspire each other in a light-hearted, safe, and friendly environment. At Shorelink we believe that laughter is an essential part of the creative process.
Our in-house workshops are aimed at encouraging members to find their own voice and experiment with new writing methods and styles. These workshops are alternated with sessions where we read our own work back to each other. As well as our weekly meetings, we hold regular social events.
We meet from 7pm to 9pm most Monday evenings between September and July at our new post-Covid venue, which is at:
Yellow is the Colour of Happy Restaurant, 35, Robertson Street, St Leonards, TN34 1HT
There is plenty of free (in the evening) roadside parking both in Robertson Street and on the sea front, and an underground car park is available literally just around the corner.
We ask for a donation of £3 for each meeting attended, to cover our expenses.
Shorelink is a very popular group, so if you are interested in joining us, please contact us beforehand so we can let you know if we have a vacancy.
